I am an M.Phil. Graduate in Molecular Biology with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology having five years hands-on experience in Clinical and Molecular Laboratory settings. My work focuses on Molecular Biology, Genetics and Genomics. Where I actively contribute to both patient centered services and research initiatives.
My professional expertise includes patient enrollment for genetic disorders, genetic counseling, biological sample collection, samples preparation for whole exome sequencing (WES). I am experienced in molecular techniques such as DNA/RNA extraction PCR and Sanger sequencing for variant validation.
I am actively involved in multiple research projects in Molecular Biology and Genetics providing guidance to the new team members in both wet and dry lab workflows. In addition to my clinical laboratory experience I have also experience as a Lecturer in Medical Laboratory Technology, which has strengthened my ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively.
My long term professional goal is to bridge Clinical Genetics and Advanced Genomic Technologies to deliver reliable high-quality services in Molecular Biology and Genetics while supporting translational research and capacity building in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
